An Eventful Day

After such an uneventful day yesterday, I made sure that today was going to be an eventful one. So everyone telah dipaksa rela by me to go on a trip to York which was 97km from Perth. Kalau ikut hati I know they would all rather stay home and main computer, game and watch tv. I googled and printed some information about York and paksa they read what I printed so that they would have some knowledge of the place we were about to visit. 

So sebenarnya York is an old historical town being the first inland European settlement in WA and it was settled in the 1830s. I am really a fan of old town with old building and frankly tadi I sorang sajalah yg semangat nak pergi. In order to raise their interest, I not only made the kids read about the town, I also told them I wanted them to write about the trip, so they had  better remember and take note of the trip and anyhting that might be of interest. Ha...ha...jadi lawatan sambil belajar pula kan.And the paper is due tomorrow...heh..heh..garang juga cikgu ni kan. Kakak and Gebu should submit a 1 page (A4 size) full of write up , Bunches 3/4 page full and Angel 1/2 page full.

I sempat  masak nasi lemak in the morning buat bekal and we had our nasi lemak lunch at a park near the town called Avon pioneer park. Punyalah panas sungguh hari ni, I think it was about 40 celcius when we were there. I felt kind of guilty juga  to drag them all the way for a 1 1/2 hour drive  dalam kepanasan. Dalam kereta tak lah panas, but once we stepped out for the picnic, punyalah terasa bahangnya.

And the town was just like a cowboy town, the shops were lined up along this one particular road saja:

And mujur ada this one sweet shop, and the kids went crazy looking, tasting and buying sweets and candies. The lady in the shop pun was very friendly, siap suruh we all ambik gambar lagi dalam kedai dia:

And on the way back we all singgah makan seafood pizza at this really popular pizzeria in Mundaring. Sempat pula terserempak dengan Elvis Presley..:))
